NEW YORK, NY (October 7, 2016) – Having released three consecutive chart-topping Top 40 hit singles just this year, seventeen-year-old multi-platinum singer-songwriter DAYA caps off a banner year with the release of her debut album SIT STILL, LOOK PRETTY via Artbeatz, out today.

Described by Daya as a continuation of her 2015 debut EP Daya, Sit Still, Look Pretty includes the entirety of her EP, with platinum hits like “Hide Away” and “Sit Still, Look Pretty,” as well as eight brand-new songs. You can listen to “Sit Still, Look Pretty” here. Additionally, the album’s deluxe version with three extra tracks will be available exclusively at Target. All physical albums will contain a “golden ticket” insert for a chance to win tickets and meet & greet passes to dates on her forthcoming headline tour.

Recorded in Los Angeles and Executive Produced by Gino "Farrago" Barletta, Sit Still, Look Pretty has already garnered massive buzz from press, with Entertainment Weekly, Harper’s Bazaar and the New York Times declaring the album one of the most highly-anticipated this fall; People declared, “You won’t be able to sit still listening to this infectious set,” while Entertainment Weekly boasts that “Sit Still, Look Pretty” “will prove that [Daya] is more than a hit single.”

Daya’s meteoric rise continues with her debut spot at #5 on Billboard’s “21 under 21” list and Apple Music selecting her as their New Artist of the Week. The New Artist of the Week program features up-and-coming artists, editorially selected by Apple Music; those accolades follow her inclusion on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know,” InStyle’s “6 Indie Artists You Should Be Listening to in 2016,” NYLON’s “21 Cool New Artists 21 and Under” as well as their October issue “It Girl” portfolio.  She most recently made her iHeartRadio Music Festival debut in Las Vegas and hit the Dancing with the Stars stage, where she dazzled the ballroom twice with performances of her hit single “Hide Away” and a special duet of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with Charlie Puth.

Refusing to slow down, the singer will continue the hype next Wednesday, October 12, taking the stage at Live! with Kelly for a performance of “Sit Still, Look Pretty.” This is just the first of a number of live performances on the horizon for Daya, as she gears up to close out 2016 on iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball concert tour. The singer will visit a number of US cities alongside fellow tour headliners Fifth Harmony, Charlie Puth and Diplo. Daya also recently announced her first ever “Sit Still, Look Pretty” headline tour, set to kick off in her home state of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia’s iconic Trocadero Theatre on February 18, 2017.  She will bring her dynamic live show to 25+ cities across the continent before it comes full circle to conclude March 30, 2017 in her hometown of Pittsburgh at Stage AE – the venue Daya frequented to see shows herself before playing her second-ever headlining show there earlier this year.
