(New York, NY) - Rockers The Slim Kings are proud to premiere the brand new music video for their new track, "Greed."  The politically-scathing video takes aim at Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump and other world leaders and businessmen who have shown a penchant for greed.  Click here to check it out.  Of the new video, The Slim Kings singer and guitarist Michael Sackler-Berner commented, "This video and song is less about an election, and more about the metastasized, socially sanctioned disease called "Greed" that encourages human beings to rob each other of dignity and resources. The band is proud to say that all the statistics in the video used to make our case are not sketchy meme shares, but come from credible sources like the World Corruption Index, Forbes, etc.  The fact that Hitler sold roughly the same amount of books in 1933 that Trump has sold this year is an eerie statistic indeed, and one we couldn't help but share."

The "Greed" video was created on an iPhone app called Face Swap Live.  Then the band spent hours digging through statistics in their rehearsal space and added them to the video to help illustrate their point. The song is produced by Grammy-nominated producer Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits, Black Keys).  To mark the release of the new single, The Slim Kings will headline a hometown show at The Bitter End in New York City on Wednesday, October 26th.  Tickets are available at the door.

The Slim Kings feature singer and guitarist Michael Sackler-Berner, best known for songs on Sons Of Anarchy, and R&B bassist Andy Attanasio alongside legendary drummer Liberty Devitto, who spent over three decades playing on seminal records for and performing with Billy Joel, Phoebe Snow and Paul McCartney.  On earlier recordings the band generated the kind of raw aggression and soulful angst one might hear behind closed doors of a Tom Petty-meets-Kinks by-way-of-a-Kings Of Leon recording session.  With the release of "Greed," they are hinting at a funkier, more experimental shift in their sound.

Blending elegant songcraft, impeccable instrumentation and a whole lot of soul, The Slim Kings have recently opened for Los Lonely Boys, ZZ Top, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes and The Spin Doctors.  Their music has been featured on Showtime's Nurse Jackie, Lifetime's Army Wives, Amazon's Cocked, and Netflix's Bloodlines amongst others. The band records with Grammy winning producers Steve Jordan (John Mayer, Keith Richards) and Joel Hamilton (Tom Waits, Black Keys, Highly Suspect) while regularly headlining clubs in the tri-state area.

A quick glance through The Slim King's thousands of active Facebook fans and it is clear that the band is making the kind of rock music that transcends generations. 18 year old college girls, 60 year old British blokes, 25 year old Brooklyn hipsters, 40 year old Midwestern housewives, 50 year old Jersey cops, 30 year old big city lawyers, all proudly sport Slim King's shirts and socks while keeping tabs on the band's every move.
