With their highly distinctive sound, Botnek continues to cement their name as one of the most talented duos in present-day dance music. The Canadian beatmakers enjoyed a white-hot summer that saw them release their topical EP Connecting? to widespread acclaim, including EDM Sauce who wrote, “We need more artists like Botnek, artists who are down to earth in every way possible except in their ability to raise the bar.” The EP also hatched the festival favorite “Bad Bitch,” which received support from Afrojack, David Guetta, Cash Cash, NERVO, and 3LAU, among many others. Botnek followed with an official remix of Ookay’s smash hit “Thief” before teaming up with Snails for the enormous bottle-popping anthem “Happy Hour,” which has racked up over 700K streams on Soundcloud.

In today’s saturated electronic market, originality is hard to come by, but Snails has managed to rise above the pack. The Montréal superproducer has seen his patented vomitstep sound explode across the globe, deeply influencing the modern zeitgeist of bass music as he blurs the lines between trap and dubstep. The eccentric yet massive sound has propelled Snails to the mainstage, as he performed at Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, TomorrowWorld, and EDC Las Vegas, steamrolling through North America on the “Enter Slugz City” Tour. He has also linked up with numerous A-listers on original tracks, including Skrillex, Diplo, Pegboard Nerds, and Flux Pavilion, who recently released their collaboration “Cannonball” on his renowned Circus Records imprint. In a wonky amalgamation of two of bass music’s quirkiest and most impressive sound designers, “ur 2 cool” is on the cusp of electronic dominance.
