What better way to celebrate a Friday than with "The Storm?

This is not any storm, though.

TRIVIUM have dropped "The Storm," the latest instant grat track from their forthcoming reissue of Ember To Inferno, out December 2 via Cooking Vinyl.

Listen to "The Storm," a six-minute epic, which is propelled forward by a massive and acrobatic riff and Matt Heafy's three-tiered vocal attack, here.

"The Storm" is vintage Trivium.

It has never been heard before.... until now.

"'The Storm' is a Trivium track of legend," said Heafy, offering insight into the song. "It's been completely absent from the world for ages since it was only available on the Trivium 'Blue Demo' (aka 'Caeruleus') — a demo that has been rumored to be priced at hundreds of dollars on auction websites. This song lyrically is inspired by the Norwegian Oskoreia, which is a European folk legend that is known to have inspired Black Metal's very creation."

He continued, "'The Storm' is a piece that foreshadows where Trivium would eventually go with its more progressive pieces like much off the Shogun album; it's a blend of instrumental technicality, melody, and brutality."

Ember to Inferno will be released in four configurations, with the deluxe editions containing the band's early demos "Ruber" (aka the Red Demo), "Caeruleus" (aka the Blue Demo) and "Flavus" (aka the Yellow Demo). Fans can pre-order all formats online here.
