(New York, New York) – A Pentatonix Christmas, the third holiday album from the Grammy Award winning group Pentatonix, lands at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart.   This is the second time the quintet has topped the chart (their self-titled album debuted #1 in 2015).  The album has been certified platinum by the RIAA and is currently the 5th best-selling album of 2016.  A Pentatonix Christmas has remained #1 on Billboard’s Holiday Albums Chart for 9 weeks since its release (Pentatonix has held the Holiday Albums Chart’s #1 position for 29 consecutive weeks during the holiday season).  2014’s 2X platinum That’s Christmas to Me reaches #5 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart.

The group’s cover of the Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah” is currently #5 on Billboard’s Digital Songs Chart. The official music video has nearly 100 million views.

Last week, Pentatonix released their performance of “Hallelujah” from A Pentatonix Christmas Special. The NBC special aired on both December 14th and December 17th, garnering nearly 13 million viewers across the two airings.

Cumulatively, the group’s holiday albums have sold over 3.8 million copies in the U.S. and their holiday videos have over 550 million views on YouTube.

In just five years, Pentatonix has sold over 5.7 million albums in the U.S. alone.  They have won 2 Grammy Awards and performed for hundreds of thousands of fans at their sold-out shows across the globe.  Their YouTube channel boasts more than 12 million subscribers, yielding over 2 billion video views, and their 2015 self-titled album has been certified gold after debuting #1 on Billboard’s Top 200.  All 7 Pentatonix album releases have debuted in the chart’s Top 10.  In 2015 the group released its first tour documentary - On My Way Home - and appeared in the feature film Pitch Perfect 2.

Recently, the group received a 59th Annual Grammy Award nomination for Best Country/Duo or Group for their arrangement of “Jolene” with Dolly Parton.
