Throughout the 5-track voyage, Eberle dips into blues, soul, rock, folk and country flavors, always remaining true to his personal sensibility, resulting in a remarkably compelling sound. The EP’s title track is the most vulnerable moment, written around the time George Zimmerman was acquitted for the murder of Trayvon Martin. The track encouraged the rest of Eberle’s work, both on the EP and forthcoming LP, to emerge as it has.

To showcase the EP release and begin the build to the LP, The Bluegrass Situation has unveiled the touching video for “When You’re Gone,” off upcoming Matter & Time (out Spring 2016). Take a look HERE!

Bill will also play a hometown show in Nashville at The Basement on 2/17. Tickets are available HERE.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA to a union family, Bill Eberle spent time living in Brooklyn before relocating to Nashville three years ago. Setting out to create a folk record that both pays tribute to the folk tradition and keeps it moving forward, the songwriter is as influenced by Kendrick Lamar and Joanna Newsom as he is by Jimmie Rodgers and Bessie Smith. Recorded in Nashville, his full length Matter & Time was recorded with members of Nashville indie-pop legends EL EL and local hero Dave Coleman (The Coal Men) as engineer, and will be released spring 2016.
