FEBRUARY 1, 2016: BURBANK, CA: At the culmination of a year marked by high-profile incidents, two generations of Atlanta hip-hop collaborated to voice their concern around the growing frequency of officer-involved shootings. In the resulting "Hands Up," 20-year old Daye Jack and veteran wordsmith Killer Mike shine as they tackle the polarizing conversation to uplift a pained community.

Inspired by those current events, Daye has immortalized the track in a montage shot in an alley of Los Angeles directed by David Gallardo (Of Monsters Of Men, Young Jeezy, Jhene Aiko). "The montage served as a way to show that despite the tragic subject matter, it brought people together from all walks of life in solidarity about something that should not be tolerated," explains Gallardo.

In the wake of his prolific Soul Glitch EP, Daye collaborated with Tori Kelly for her debut album and released several singles with "Hands Up" being the latest and arguably, most important.  Ahead of his full-length album with feature production from Nosaj, Mike Elizondo, Max Martin and others, Daye will join New Orleans rapper and musician Pell for on the "Only In Your Dreams" tour.   The 30-date tour kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday February 2^nd in Chicago and wraps at the end of March 30^th in Los Angeles.
