Roo Panes’ sophomore full-length effort Paperweights is an album of lush arrangements, blissfully hypnotic vocals and emotionally rich subject matter. “Where I Want To Go” is the second single to be released from the album, out March 4th on CRC Music. “Where I Want To Go” sees Panes working with producer Chris Bond (Ben Howard) for the first time and sees him at his lyrical and vocal best; the song has a simple message - sometimes it's the journey and not the destination that counts.

“Where I Want To Go” video premiered with Interview Magazine today.

Lead album single “The Original” has had support from BBC 6Music (Lauren Laverne) and BBC Radio 1 (Annie Mac and Phil Taggart) among others. Since releasing his debut full-length album Little Giant in 2014 to critical acclaim, Panes has racked up in excess of 35 million plays on Spotify and over a million total YouTube views. He has been described by Uncut as a ‘Britfolk pin up’ whose music ‘taps a deep well of folk heritage.’ Q Magazine has said Panes finds ‘a positive message in thoughts best left in the dark of night.’ Offering a fresh, matured collection of songs, Paperweights was produced by Rupert Coulson (Portishead, Oasis, Robbie Williams).

Panes is a succinct, honest craftsman who writes from a place of deep personal expression that resonates with universal truths and desires. His deep voice and timeless storytelling cloak his art in a classic sense that seems wise beyond his years.

Paperweights is available for pre-order at iTunes and Amazon.
