Low Country Sound/Elektra announced today the signing of singer/songwriter Brent Cobb, whose writing credits include collaborations with Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and the Oak Ridge Boys, among others.

Rolling Stone Country  today premiered Cobb’s video for “Down Home,” which appears on Southern Family, the compilation album conceived by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell).  Southern Family is available for streaming and purchase now.

Brent Cobb is also currently in the studio with Dave Cobb, his cousin, at work on a forthcoming album set for release later this year.

"Like its partner label Elektra Records, Low Country Sound ain't afraid of causing a scene,” said Brent Cobb, “And I'm very proud to be a part of that."

“When Brent sings he truly represents the heart and soul of rural America,” said Dave Cobb.
