Atlantic recording artist Shinedown has announced plans to headline the 2016 Carnival of Madness Tour. Bandsintown exclusively reported the tour announcement earlier this morning: http://bit.ly/2297h36 The sixth annual trek – also featuring Atlantic Records labelmates Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, Whiskey Myers, and more – embarks July 20th at Southhaven, MS’s Landers Center and then travels through mid-August (see attached itinerary). Pre-sales begin on Tuesday, March 15th at 12:00 pm local time; all remaining tickets will be available in most markets from Friday, March 18th at 10:00 am local time. Fans will have the option to purchase a special collector's edition 3-D ticket commemorating the event when they purchase tickets for the tour. Shinedown frontman Brent Smith says:  "“I’ve always envisioned the Carnival of Madness as more than just a music festival.  It is a celebration of rock music where the lines between those on stage and those in the audience are blurred.  Where everyone is sharing in this amazing moment. Truly experiencing the power of rock music together.  This year, we’ve gathered artists from across the rock spectrum to bring the most dynamic Carnival of Madness to date.  Come join us.”"

Shinedown are no strangers to Carnival of Madness having co-headlined the rock spectacle in four of its five prior US runs as well as its just concluded debut UK edition. The multi-platinum certified rock band returned home and immediately set out on a major US headline tour, concluding this Friday, March 18th at Deadwood, SD’s Deadwood Casino. Next up is a wide-ranging spring schedule that spans headline shows, co-headline dates with Five Finger Death Punch and special guests P.O.D., and an array of US festivals and radio-sponsored concerts including Tucson, AZ’s KMFA Day 2016 (April 16th), Tampa, FL’s 98Rockfest (April 29th), Ft. Myers, FL’s Monster Energy Fort Rock (May 1st), Virginia Beach, VA’s FM99 Lunatic Luau (May 6th), Charlotte, NC’s Carolina Rebellion (May 7th), Somerset, WI’s Northern Invasion (May 14th-15th), Columbus, OH’s Rock On The Range X (May 20th), Camden, NJ’s MMR*B*Q (May 21st), Schaghticoke, NY’s Rock’n Derby (May 22nd), and Oshkosh, WI’s Rock USA (July 16th).

June will see Shinedown crossing the Atlantic for a marathon European tour highlighted by headline shows and such famous festivals as Germany’s Rock am Ring (June 3rd) and Rock am Park (June 4th), Download Festival Paris (June 11th) Download Festival UK (June 12th), France’s Hellfest 2016! (June 17th), and Zürich’s Rock The Ring (June 18th). For complete details and ticket information, please log on to www.shinedown.com/shows.

“State Of My Head,” the latest single from Shinedown’s blockbuster new album “THREAT TO SURVIVAL,” marks yet another milestone in the band’s historic run of chart topping hits. The track recently reached #1 at Mainstream Rock outlets nationwide – their 10th single to top the chart. “State Of My Head” continues a record-setting streak in which every one of the 20 singles released over Shinedown’s decade-plus career has ascended to the top 10  – a feat unmatched by any other rock band, now or ever before. The powerful “State Of My Head” companion video proved an equivalent success with close to 2.5 million YouTube views and counting.

Shinedown returns to ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a much-anticipated performance, scheduled for Wednesday, April 13th (check local listings).

Shinedown made a stunning chart debut last year as “THREAT TO SURVIVAL” – the band’s fifth studio album and first new release in three years – arrived at #5 on the overall SoundScan/Billboard 200 while simultaneously debuting atop Billboard’s “Rock Albums” and “Top Hard Rock Albums” chart.

Produced by Shinedown’s own Eric Bass, “Cut The Cord,” the album’s first single, spent a remarkable eight consecutive weeks at #1 Active Rock airplay charts nationwide. In addition, the “Cut The Cord” companion video – directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Darren Doane (“Devour,” “Sound of Madness,” “Bully”) – has already earned close to 12.5 million views at Shinedown'’s official YouTube channel.

Shinedown celebrated “THREAT TO SURVIVAL” with a blockbuster US tour, co-headlined by Breaking Benjamin. The cross-country trek proved a massive success, topping Billboard’s “Hot Tours” recap with ticket sales exceeding $1 million from the final four venues alone. The 24-date arena tour took in an impressive $5.7 million overall.

The tour earned Shinedown a bounty of incredible reviews, with Loudwire proclaiming their live set to be “explosive…In Brent Smith, the band has not only a commanding voice, but also the presence of an intense frontman determined to connect with the emotional consciousness of every single person in the audience. It was something of a rock and roll revival, with Smith again proving himself a master of reaching people through his pulpit of hope and brotherhood.”

Known worldwide for their unparalleled streak of hits, Shinedown is without question one of the most successful rock bands of the 21st century. The band’s unmatched ascendancy over multi-format rock radio commenced with their 2003 debut “LEAVE A WHISPER” and the 2005 follow-up, “US AND THEM.” Together, both albums yielded seven consecutive top 5 radio hits, including the #1 blockbuster, “Save Me.”

Released in 2008, “THE SOUND OF MADNESS” proved to be Shinedown’s mainstream breakthrough, debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200 before spending 120 consecutive weeks on the chart. The album made rock history, with each of its six singles reaching #1 on the airplay rankings, including the double-platinum certified crossover smash, “Second Chance,” which also went to #1 on the Hot AC chart and top 3 at Top 40.

“AMARYLLIS” followed in 2012 and immediately entered Billboard’s “Rock Albums” chart at #1 while also coming in at #4 on the overall Billboard 200 with over 105,000 units sold in the first week - the multi-platinum group's biggest chart debut thus far. The album spawned a trio of massive hits in “Bully,” “Unity,” and “Enemies,” all of which reached #1 at Active Rock radio, bringing Shinedown’s tally of consecutive chart-toppers at the format to an amazing nine and counting. In addition, two additional singles from “AMARYLLIS” – “I’ll Follow You” and “Adrenaline” – both reached the top 5 at Rock radio, furthering Shinedown’s extraordinary streak of top-charting singles.

Hailed by fans as a fiery and always exciting live act, Shinedown have toured hard throughout their career, including countless headline treks and high profile festival appearances. In addition, the band’s numerous national television appearances include performances on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and TODAY, CBS’ The Early Show, and TBS’ Conan, among others. In 2009, Shinedown received an American Music Award nomination for “Best Alternative Rock Band.”

Shinedown is: Brent Smith (vocals), Barry Kerch (drums), Zach Myers (guitars), and Eric Bass (bass).
