(April 8, 2016) – Showing no signs of slowing down on her path to pop stardom, breakout musician Daya will perform at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards on April 30 – marking her first performance at a major awards show. Daya is also nominated for Best New Artist at the awards; voting ends this Sunday at 11:59pm EDT. The show will air May 1 from 7-9pm EDT on Disney Channel.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the 17-year-old’s latest single “Sit Still, Look Pretty” from her debut self-titled EP. The song is already climbing the iTunes Pop Chart and entering the Top 50 on radio airwaves across the country. She is slated to follow up her self-titled debut EP with a full album this fall on the rising independent label Artbeatz Entertainment, owned by Steve Zap and Gino Barletta.

Her worldwide hit and platinum-certified debut single from her EP, “Hide Away,” has garnered more than 110 million streams on Spotify, a radio audience of more than 50 million, and nearly 10 million views of its music video. “Hide Away” hit the Top 10 and Top 25 on Billboard’s Pop Songs and Hot 100 Charts, respectively.

Daya is also currently featured on The Chainsmokers’ single “Don’t Let Me Down,” which has amassed more than 74 million streams on Spotify and is rapidly climbing the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. She most recently performed at the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll in Washington, DC.
