Los Angeles, CA (April 25, 2016) – This year’s breakout duo THE CHAINSMOKERS became the most talked about Coachella Sahara stage set in years with a record-setting 20,000 plus crowd that went wild for two weekends of electrifying performances and surprise guests. Billboard was quick to put the performance in the top five “Best Moments of Coachella,” with the magazine declaring the performance the “clear Sunday highlight.”    The Chainsmokers started trending across social media the moment they took the stage and online buzz reached a frenzy when the set featured surprise appearances by chart-topping artists G-Eazy, Tiesto, Third Eye Blind, Walk the Moon, Daya, Big Gigantic and Rozes.

Anticipated as one of the can’t-miss moments of Coachella, The Chainsmokers quickly lived up to the hype surrounding their set, debuting a new production piece appropriately called the “Mount Turn Up” specifically designed for the festival which gave the guys four elevated tiers to jump on and delivered a perfect view for the crowd of The Chainsmokers’ trademark showmanship.  They wasted no time starting the set with a teaser of their hit single “Roses” featuring an appearance by Rozes. Rising artist Daya, made an appearance to lend her vocals to a live performance of their hit single, “Don’t Let Me Down,” which just notched two #1s on both the Billboard Dance/Electronic Digital Songs & Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. The Chainsmokers’ good friends Walk The Moon came out to perform the chart-topping “Shut Up And Dance” and Tiesto appeared for the song “Split” he made with the guys. Never in the same city at the same time, G-Eazy and The Chainsmokers finally met for the first time Sunday morning and decided on an impromptu performance of “Me, Myself and I” for that night’s set.  Having just hours prior invited Stephan Jenkins of multi-platinum selling band Third Eye Blind to perform with them, the rocker obliged and jetted in from San Francisco in time to take the stage for a performance of “Jumper.”   Both weekends saw A-list side stage fans watching all the action, with everyone from Usher to Zedd to Taylor Lautner to a bevy of Victoria Secret’s Angels on hand.
