MINNEAPOLIS, MN || APRIL 6, 2016 | Rising Minnesota indie-pop outfit, Whosah dropped their sophomore EP Work on 3/11/16, with rave reviews. Today, the band has partnered up with idobi Radio for the exclusive music video premiere of the EP's leading track "Ghost Town." The video's intrigue comes in the contrast between frontman Spencer Grimes singing the track's upbeat, danceable tune and a picture of a desolate, isolated world amidst familiar settings. Here is what Whosah had to say about the concept behind the video: "We wanted to capture the live, high energy feel of our performance but in a introspective, contained way. We really wanted the video to feel like a journey, an adventure in another world in which we're traveling --longing to find life but only finding empty spaces. For this video we wanted to contrast the literal nature of our moving picture for the rest of the record. The imagery in this song plays between an office space and an old ghost town, so we wanted the video to leave a little more space for the viewers to have their own creativity and connect with their own reality." - Spencer Grimes

Produced by Nashville's Chase Coy, the EP's first single "Ghost Town" was released in November of 2015, followed by the EP's leading track "Forget About It." The band has created inventive "moving picture" streams to accompany each of the tracks on the EP, providing a simple yet artistic interpretation. Whosah's sound has historically been characterized by dense layers of backing tracks, and this new project spearheads the band's effort toward recreating and expanding upon those layers with live instruments. Work sets out to take this synth-pop expression a step further by visually interpreting as many elements off the record as possible right in front of the audience.

More About Whosah: Art is personal. It forces us to explore our most inner thoughts, while providing an opportunity to share those intimate parts of our lives and connect through our shared experiences. Since its formation, Whosah has committed to creating an environment where connections are formed through sound. By approaching every song and performance with energy and authenticity, Whosah delivers an experience that forms a bond not quickly forgotten. The group thrives in environments both large and small, performing shows as intimate as college dorms and as large as the Mall of America.

Though the five-piece calls Minneapolis their stomping grounds, they have found home to be wherever their craft takes them- from college campuses and bars across the Midwest to sharing the stage with artists like Mat Kearney, Betty Who, and The Icarus Account. Whosah has won the University of Minnesota's Spring Jam Battle of the Bands, been featured on popular shows like NBC's "A to Z" and MTV's "Snookie and JWoww" and Target's back-to-school campaign.

With a dance-pop twist on Walk the Moon and The 1975, Whosah's new release is centered around an optimistic and spunky attitude, savoring the conflict between finding purpose in the daily routine and longing for a life beyond the known. Produced by Nashville's Chase Coy, the first single "Ghost Town" was released in November of 2015, and will be followed in March by the full EP titled Work - a common struggle and journey we can all relate to.
