NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 12, 2016) – Avid outdoorsman and singer/songwriter Drake White joined ABC's Good Morning America correspondent Jesse Palmer in Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a rustic adventure and an acoustic fireside performance of "Livin' The Dream." Live from Gatlinburg, TN this morning following an overnight camping excursion, the segment was a natural pairing for White and continues the show's weeklong celebration of the National Parks System’s centennial. “I feel most myself when I am in the woods and spending time in nature,” expressed White. “There is no better feeling than disconnecting from your phone for a few hours to really relax and enjoy life. There is an ease of the mind that usually inspires new songs.”

During the evening, White and Palmer tested their culinary skills cooking popcorn over the fire before White launched into a stirring, stripped down version of his current single “Livin’ the Dream.” Before calling it a night, the duo set up tree tents where they slept before waking up with the sun to give fans a glimpse of the site via GMA Wake Up Call.

The musician and Salt Life team member grew up hunting, fishing, camping and still makes time to enjoy nature every chance he gets when he is not on the road with Zac Brown Band's BLACK OUT THE SUN TOUR. He even found a way to merge his love of fresh air and breezy tunes during last month’s Academy of Country Music Awards, inviting a group of friends for a once in lifetime opportunity to fly to the bottom of the Grand Canyon for a unique performance. See video here.

White is currently putting the finishing touches on his debut album for Dot Records, out later this year. For more information and additional dates, visit drakewhite.com.
