With a milestone performance looming on Dim Mak’s 20th Anniversary Electric Zoo stage, 3LAU continues his meteoric rise to electronic stardom. The release of “Runaway” was the cherry on top of an extraordinary year that saw him perform at Red Rocks, Ultra Music Festival, EDC Mexico, and TomorrowWorld. After the song reached #1 on Hype Machine, it made its way into the DJ sets of dance music’s elite, including Hardwell, Cash Cash, Thomas Gold, and Steve Aoki, who included it in his Dim Mak Miami 20th Anniversary mix. The song also was a mainstream success, peaking at #2 on Mediabase’s Dance Radio Chart. With “Runaway” blaring through speakers across the worldwide festival circuit, 3LAU has undeniably reached the upper echelon with the help of frequent songwriting partner Bright Lights.

As summer 2016 approaches, Bright Lights remains one of the most sought-after collaborators in contemporary music. Her catalog is remarkable, possessing songwriting credits for Justin Bieber’s “Somebody to Love” andBritney Spears’ “Trouble For Me,” among many others. As a vocalist, she has been featured on a number of modern dance music’s pioneering tracks from the likes of Zedd, Porter Robinson, and Benny Benassi. “Runaway” marks the fourth collaboration between Bright Lights and 3LAU, and is just a taste of what’s to come on her upcoming debut album.
