NEWS: CHARLIE PUTH SETS BIGGEST HEADLINE TOUR TO DATE
Atlantic recording artist Charlie Puth has announced plans for his biggest North American headline tour to date. The “We Don’t Talk Tour 2016” begins September 26th at Dallas, TX’s House of Blues and then travels until November (see attached itinerary). Support on all dates comes from Hailey Knox. Tickets for the “We Don’t Talk Tour” are now available to the general public. For complete details and ticket information, visit www.charlieputh.com/tour.
This morning, Puth celebrated the tour announce with his first televised performance of “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” as part of the Citi Concert Series on NBC’s TODAY. He also performed his global hit single “One Call Away” along with a special, heartfelt rendition of “See You Again,” as a tribute to the victims of Orlando. Watch here:

The “We Don’t Talk Tour” follows Puth’s hugely popular “Nine Track Mind Tour,” which sold out nearly every date within 30 minutes of its spring announcement. The tour celebrated the release of Puth’s debut album, NINE TRACK MIND, which was officially certified Gold by the RIAA this week. The album – which made a remarkable chart debut upon its January 2016 release, arriving at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart – includes both RIAA platinum certified singles “One Call Away” and “Marvin Gaye (feat. Meghan Trainor).”
“We Don’t Talk Anymore (feat. Selena Gomez),” the latest single from NINE TRACK MIND, is shaping up to be a summertime pop smash, including major airplay on multi-format radio outlets nationwide. The single is now climbing the “Top Pop Songs” chart on the iTunes Store having already reached the top 10 on Shazam’s “US Top 10” and “Worldwide Top 10.” “We Don’t Talk Anymore” is also proving to be a global success, hitting Spotify’s “Most Streamed” chart in countless countries with close to 65 million streams worldwide.
Later this summer, Puth will be among the superstars performing on the upcoming 2016 Teen Choice Awards, offering up a truly special version of “We Don’t Talk Anymore.” Charlie – already a 2015 Teen Choice Award winner – is a four-time nominee this year, including nods for Choice Male Artist and Choice Music Breakout Artist. The 2016 Teen Choice Awards air July 31st on FOX (check local listings).
A 2016 Billboard Music Award nominee for “Best New Artist,” and recent winner of two Billboard Music Awards, Puth is currently in the midst of a long series of international live dates, including headline shows, radio concerts, festival appearances, and a much-anticipated show supporting Selena Gomez set for July 9th at Anaheim, CA’s Honda Center. Additional highlights include Charlie opening for one of his musical heroes, the legendary Billy Joel at two stadium shows: July 1st at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park and July 30th at Nationals Park in Washington, DC. Puth first exploded onto the music scene as a songwriter, producer and vocalist on Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again,” the emotional tribute to Paul Walker in FURIOUS 7. The song has officially entered the history books as one of the decade’s biggest singles, topping Billboard’s “Hot 100” for a stunning 12 weeks. Now certified 6x platinum by the RIAA, “See You Again,” is indeed a planetary phenomenon, with combined sales and track-equivalent streams in excess of 10.9 million units worldwide. Furthermore, the song’s deeply touching companion video is now exceeding 1.8 billion individual views at Wiz Khalifa’s official YouTube channel – the first ever hip-hop video to achieve the billion view milestone and YouTube’s second most popular video of all time.
“See You Again” has collected a long list of awards and honors in addition to its unprecedented popularity. Along with its dual Billboard Music Awards triumph, the song has been feted with the 2015 Critic’s Choice Award for “Best Song,” the 2015 Hollywood Film Award for “Hollywood Song Award,” a pair of 2015 Teen Choice Awards, three GRAMMY® Award nominations, two 2015 MTV Video Music Awards nominations, two 2015 American Music Awards nominations, and a 73rd Golden Globes Award nod as “Best Original Song.”
