i am OTHER/Atlantic recording artist Kap G has announced plans to join Generation Now/Atlantic recording artist Lil Uzi Vert on the hugely anticipated “Parental Advisory Tour.” The dates begin Sunday, June 5th, at The Venue in Oakland, CA and continue through the month (see attached itinerary). Additional support on the tour comes from 21 Savage and YFN Lucci. For ticket information, please see http://therealkapg.com/tour.

Kap G has been hailed as one of the freshest and most important new voices in hip hop for his extraordinary musical chronicles of the Mexican-American experience. Raised in College Park, GA, the 21-year-old rapper – who recently documented his first visit to his parents’ hometown of Mexico City https://youtu.be/sDKcStl_OXY – made his musical bones in high school, releasing a series of increasingly popular tracks including “Tatted Like Amigos (Feat. Chief Keef).” The next two years saw Kap unleash mixtapes (including 2014’s “LIKE A MEXICAN”) and tracks like the provocative “La Policia,” each earning him further praise and a wider mainstream audience.

In a partnership formed, last year, between i am OTHER and Atlantic records, Kap G recently released the acclaimed “EL SOUTHSIDE” mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama and available now on the iTunes Store, Google Play, Amazon, and Spotify. The project – which includes production from Pharrell Williams and guest spots from Young Thug, YFN Lucci, Nechie, and Ca$h Out – has already received major national attention, with coverage in XXL, The Fader, Hot New Hip Hop, and more.

“EL SOUTHSIDE” includes the breakout new single, “Girlfriend,” produced by Squat Beats and praised by The Fader as an “adulterous banger.” Complex recently named “Girlfriend” as one of “10 Dope New Songs You Should Be Hearing Everywhere Soon,” hailing the track as “a low-key record without being subtle, a cold performance so icy it's as if it'd been chilled before release. (Kap G) also seems to have figured out a melodic flow that doesn't feel like it's reaching too hard to hit the right tones, a trick in this melody-driven environment.” The official “Girlfriend” companion video – directed by Jon J. (Rick Ross, Pusha T, Wale) – is fast approaching 1 million views at Kap’s official YouTube channel.
