"”Ghost Of A Whiskey Devil“ is a very special song and one of my favorites. I wrote it about my late best friend and musical mentor Barry Williams from Dublin, Ireland. He was the guy who convinced me to form The Mahones for a one off gig on St. Patrick's Day show at his Irish pub in Kingston Ontario, Canada called The Toucan back in 1990. We did the show and it went over so well, that here we are 25 years later!" - Finny McConnell

Celebrating 25+ years of Irish punk rock, The Mahones have re-recorded a selection of favorite songs from their acclaimed catalog for The Very Best: 25 Years Of Irish Punk. From “A Great Night On The Lash” to “Ghost Of A Whisky Devil” the band showcases songs from the last several decades that have become staples in the Irish punk rock scene.
