Los Angeles, CA – The producers of the official theme song for the 2016 Rio Olympics, Brazil’s own Tropkillaz, link up with Italian bass duo Retrohandz and Jamaican vocalist Richie Loop for the rowdy “In The Sky Way Up.”

After releasing their colossal Iron EP, Dim Mak’s Retrohandz have enjoyed a stellar 2016. In April, they dropped a huge guest mix for Diplo and Friends on BBC Radio 1XTRA, flaunting their patented tribal sound which Diplo praised as “frightening, crazy, and insane.” “Iron” went on to smash the jungle terror mold, gaining support from Major Lazer, Henry Fong, Borgeous, Party Favor, and Dim Mak chief Steve Aoki, among others. Combined with a feature in DJ Mag Italia, the project deservedly thrust Retrohandz into the international spotlight where they joined fellow production pair Tropkillaz, who are having an impressive year of their own.

With their unique blend of Latin and bass music, Tropkillaz is breaking serious ground in the electronic scene. The Brazlian duo have a built an astonishing following on Soundcloud, evidenced by two of their originals surpassing 3 million streams despite being released independently (“BABY BABY” and “MAMBO”). More recently, their Braza Attack Vol. 1 EP dominated the Beatport Hip-Hop charts, as all five tracks reached the Top 20 in unprecedented fashion. They then one-upped themselves by producing the official theme song for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio “Heart and Soul,” which features rapper Projotaand pop singer Thiaguinho. Their recent success should come as no surprise, however, as they have deep roots in the music industry, working with Kanye West, RZA, M.I.A, Santigold and more.
