LONG ISLAND, NY – August 5, 2016 – With their eyes on the prize and a master plan in motion, Approaching Troy is about to unleash their latest sonic endeavor. The quartet combines post-hardcore and pop-punk elements to create something fresh on the road to making their mark in the scene. As the band gears up to release their Best Intentions on August 19, Approaching Troy is eager to reveal the next single from the project – a song that embraces the determination of youth and sets the tone for what’s to come.

""Sparta (This Isn’t Over)" is the song on the EP that really shows the best combination of where we're headed as a band as well as where we've been. The fine details of this track are a strong example of the technical aspects behind our Best Intentions EP that really shine through in this single. This song represents both the softer side that we never really shy away from, and the edgier feel we've been embracing more recently. We weren't afraid to experiment with different sounds, effects and instruments that really helped bring this song to the next level.” - Jake Salazar (lead vocals, Approaching Troy)

With a tour rapidly approaching and a hometown performance scheduled for August 19, the band is determined to spread their music as far as they can – and with songs like “Sparta” and “Wake Up,” it won’t be a challenge.
