Nashville, TN — Grammy Award winning artists Rodney Crowell and Vince Gill along with Ashley Monroe and more will pull on their cowboy boots for the 3rd Annual Celebrity Barn Dance! Taking place Saturday, October 29 in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee at The Jaeckle Centre, the South’s Premiere Equine Facility and the largest barn in the South, tickets are available now at bit.ly/celebritybarndance with proceeds benefiting Music Health Alliance.
The only event of its kind in the U.S., guests are invited to leave their heels at home and slip on their dancing shoes where world class artists Crowell, Gill, Monroe and friends will bring to life a truly authentic barn dance experience as they and their All-Star band perform fan favorites and requests from the dance floor. Additional musical guests will be announced in the coming weeks.
“When Vince and I bring a group of our friends together, we have a blast playing music that makes you want to dance all night long,” said Crowell. “We’re lucky to be in Nashville so we can bring the best talent together to jam while the crowd dances the night away, all in support of Music Health Alliance.”
“We enjoy the opportunity to host this event every year in support of the community of talented musicians we all get the chance to enjoy here in Middle Tennessee,” said The Jaeckle Center Owner, Teresa Jaeckle. “If not for talented artists and musicians like Rodney, Vince, and Ashley, our city would be a very different place. The beneficiary, Music Health Alliance, provides an invaluable, and in many cases life sustaining service, to our music friends. Our barn has an Olympic size indoor arena, which allows us to accommodate the event. We turn the barn into a dance hall and have a blast.”
Tickets to 2016’s Celebrity Barn Dance at The Jaeckle Center (100 Saddle Springs Boulevard, Thompson’s Station, TN 37179) include a wine tasting, whiskey tasting and special southern-style buffet dinner. Guests also enjoy a meet & greet reception with the celebrity performers from 6pm – 7:30pm, with music and dancing kicking off at 8:00pm. Packages are priced at $500 per couple or $1,600 for an 8-person table and can be purchased atbit.ly/celebritybarndance. About Rodney Crowell: Rodney Crowell is a multi Grammy winning singer/songwriter, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the recipient of the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting from the Americana Music Association. His songs have been covered and performed by an eminent group of musicians, including Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Etta James, George Strait, Tim McGraw and Bob Seger.
About Vince Gill: One of the most popular singers in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor. Gill achieved his big breakthrough in 1990 with “When I Call Your Name,” which won both the Country Music Association’s Single and Song of the Year awards as well as a Grammy. Gill has won 18 CMA Awards, including Song of the Year four times – making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history. Since 1990, Gill has won 20 GRAMMY Awards. A wide-ranging songwriter, his compositions earned him entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. He is a member of the four-time Grammy-nominated band The Time Jumpers and has made guest appearances on more than 800 albums. Gill’s latest album is Down To My Last Bad Habit. The Time Jumpers will release their new album, Kid Sister, on Sept. 9, 2016.
About Ashley Monroe: Monroe, a Tennessee-born singer, whose passion for traditional country is matched only by her gift for crisp, clever songwriting is convinced that country fans seek something meaningful in their music. When she sat down to write her new album The Blade, released on Warner Music Nashville, she committed herself to finding songs that would make both her and her audience cry, laugh, think and, metaphorically, bleed. "Every track will cut you in a different way," Monroe says, nodding to the album's title. Released on July 24,The Blade is the follow-up to 2013's critically acclaimed Like a Rose, which included the sublime — and alternatingly bawdy and poignant — singles "Weed Instead of Roses," "You Got Me" and the title track. The album was named the top country record of that year by Billboard, Rolling Stone and The New York Times, and helped recognize Monroe as one of the genre's most respected talents. She's performed with artists ranging from the Raconteurs and Train to Wanda Jackson and Blake Shelton, and is an indispensable component of the acclaimed trad-country trio Pistol Annies.
