The highly anticipated major label debut LP Neptune from Boston progressive folk duo Tall Heights is released today via Sony Music Masterworks. On the heels of 2015’s Holding On, Holding Out EP, the band has received critical acclaim from the likes of NPR and The Wall Street Journal as well as FUSE, Stereogum, Paste, Interview Magazine and many more. Album single “Spirit Cold” recently surpassed 7 million streams on Spotify, with overall streams growing 600% in the last two months. The band discussed their journey in the latest episode of the podcast SOUND & VISION out today.

Earning comparisons of their emotive harmonies and poignant lyrics to the likes of Sigur Ros, Fleet Foxes and Sufjan Stevens, the multi-talented singer songwriters, composers, and instrumentalists are Paul Wright on cello/vocals and Tim Harrington on acoustic guitar/vocals. They grew up just outside of Boston and got their start busking on the city streets, eventually raising enough to fund their first EP. Neptune is a far lusher construct than those early acoustic days—notably the ethereal synthesizers and gritty indie-pop percussion on “Spirit Cold”, the chugging guitar on “Iron In The Fire” or the brooding tone of “Infrared”.

The band is on tour through October, including a performance at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. See full list of dates below or click HERE. For a taste of Tall Heights’ captivating live show, watch the band’s stunning live performance of album single “Spirit Cold” HERE.
