AUGUST 4th, 2016 - No need to be afraid, The Frights just released the brand new, official music video for their song "Afraid of the Dark" today with FUSE! The song is taken from their Dangerbird Records debut You Are Going To Hate This, which was produced by FIDLAR vocalist Zac Carper. The album is out now and fans can grab it here: http://www.thefrights.com

"Afraid of the Dark is about my fear of dying or dying young," explains guitarist and vocalist Mikey Carnevale.

Director and bassist, Richard Dotson on the video - "From the beginning, I wanted this video to be more visual than narrative, so it started with just bastardizing the theme of the song and wanting to make the three of us look like ghosts or holograms using projectors and scrim. I knew it was going to be colorful, so I wanted to project it in a completely contrasting location to give it a creepy, mysterious feeling. Luckily, my grandparents let me shoot on their ranch which ended up being the perfect location for that type of thing. Some weird cult stuff happens out in the high desert sometimes. I like to imagine that anyone driving by our projections out there at 3 AM feel like they witnessed something they shouldn't have."

The band is currently in the middle off their summer headline tour with Hunny. Catch them tonight in Philly at The Foundry and tomorrow in Brooklyn, NY at the Knitting Factory. In the fall, you can find them supporting FIDLAR on the Too Much Tour, kicking off October 28th at The Observatory North Park in their hometown of San Diego, CA!
