NEWS: Ice Nine Kills announces the Hell In The Hallways Tour: Part 2
Due to overwhelming success and sold out shows, Ice Nine Kills is thrilled to announce additional dates to their fall headliner, the Hell In The Hallways Tour, which is giving fans a unique opportunity to experience prom like never before. Sponsored by Alternative Press Magazine, the tour plays off the band's cinematic video for their song "Hell in the Hallways," which creates a fresh, new spin on the 1976 cult classic film Carrie, based on Stephen King's 1974 novel of the same name. With no details spared, fans are encouraged to wear their most elegant prom attire to the show, where a prom king and queen are being crowned each night. The band will also play a string of shows, properly dubbed "Thanx-Killing," over the Thanksgiving holiday, which will also fall under the Hell In The Hallways prom theme. Scroll down for a full list of tour dates.
Vocalist Spencer Charnas explains,"With the hype we're already seeing from this twisted prom/rock concert concept, it seemed to be the obvious choice to continue the mayhem and expand this unique experience to additional locations."
The remaining dates of Hell In The Hallways: Part 1 run through Oct. 16, ending in Lemoyne, PA, and features support from from Secrets, Sylar, Cover Your Tracks and Out Came The Wolves. The "Thanx-Killing" dates will kick off the day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 25 in Hartford, CT and go through Nov. 27 before Hell In The Hallways: Part 2 officially picks up on Nov. 29 and extends through Dec. 6, featuring support form Sirens and Sailors and It Lives it Breathes. VIP and General Admission tickets are available at IceNineKills.com.
Ice Nine Kills is touring in support of their latest album Every Trick In The Book, which showcases the band's love for story-telling and reflects on the dark side of such classic stories, creating vibrant narratives mixed with the band's trademark sound. Every Trick In The Book is available now on iTunes.
Directed by Dan Kennedy and Rasa Partin of Little Sky Film, the video for "Hell in The Hallways" serves as a sequel to Ice Nine Kills' video for "Communion Of The Cursed", picking up 10 years later. Ice Nine Kills fans make up 90 percent of the video's cast, having traveled from all over the country to the band's native state of Massachusetts to pay homage to the 40-year anniversary of Carrie while helping the band spread a message of anti-bullying.
