A follow up to her 2013 EP and single “Indian Summer” which hit #1 on M3’s Top-20 and #3 on CBC Radio 3’s Top 30, as well as a feature on Wolf Saga’s cover of The Strokes “You Only Live Once” which hit #1 on Hype Machine twice, Falling Up blends the familiar LYON sound with a newfound sense of edge and adventure.

Shortly after a serious crash spun her car out on the black ice of Toronto, LYON, the musical moniker of Lauren Malyon, caught a redeye for her first writing trip to Los Angeles. In the sunshine and palm trees she found musical solace—a beautiful creative place that allowed her to remain blissfully unaware of the totaled car and struggles with a past relationship she had left behind. The Falling Up EP features collaborations with Lisa Scinta, Joey Resly, FANNand xSDTRK.

Stay tuned for more on LYON coming soon!
