Nashville, Tenn. (January 26, 2017) – Big Loud Records breakout artist Morgan Wallen is already making waves in 2017, kicking the year off with undeniable excitement from fans, country radio and media outlets alike.

The young Tennessee native’s debut single, “The Way I Talk,” is currently making its way up the Billboard and Country Aircheck Country Airplay charts, and NASH Country Daily has premiered a new acoustic video for the grooving, celebrate-your-roots anthem, which can also be found on YouTube.

Co-written by Ben Hayslip, Chase McGill and Jessi Alexander, “The Way I Talk” has now been streamed over 4 million times on Spotify as fans connect with Wallen’s sweet-tea flavored vocals and a storyline that praises family, spirituality and Southern pride. Mixing country, rock and a touch of hip-hop, “The Way I Talk” is the title track to Wallen’s debut EP, released last summer and produced by studio ace Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line).

Intrigued by the success of his first release, Taste of Country has chosen Wallen for its inaugural RISERS contest, an honor aimed at identifying new artists who are “poised to explode in 2017.” Nine artists have already been selected, and the tenth and final Riser will be announced February 1.

Wallen’s star will continue to shine bright as the year goes on, joining superstar duo Florida Georgia Line’s DIG YOUR ROOTS TOUR as a supporting artist on select dates. The tour kicks off January 27 in Tallahassee, Florida, and also includes Dustin Lynch, Chris Lane, Ryan Follese and Seth Ennis.

About Morgan Wallen: Born about three hours from Nashville in Sneedville, Tenn. (also home to bluegrass legend Jimmy Martin), Morgan Wallen was a star on the baseball diamond, attended the same high school as country superstar Kenny Chesney, and has deep roots in the church. With a hard-rock loving preacher for a father and a mother who couldn’t get enough country and contemporary Christian music, Wallen began performing for his local congregation at the tender age of 3 and went on to develop a strong love of country, rock and hip-hop. Since moving to Music City in 2015, he’s written with hitmakers like Craig Wiseman (“Live Like You Were Dying”), Rodney Clawson (“Dirt”), Chris Tompkins (“Drunk on a Plane”), the Warren Brothers (“Highway Don’t Care”), Tommy Cecil (“Home Alone Tonight”) and Matt Dragstrem (“Sippin’ on Fire”), and recorded his debut EP with award-winning producer Joey Moi. THE WAY I TALK was released in July of 2016, featuring its anthemic title track, “The Way I Talk.”

About Big Loud Records: The Big Loud Records label launched in 2015 and was founded by artist manager Seth England, acclaimed producer Joey Moi, award-winning songwriter Craig Wiseman, artist manager Kevin “Chief” Zaruk and radio veteran Clay Hunnicutt.
