January 19th, 2017 - NEW YORK, NY - Singer-songwriter Teddy Edwards has premiered the official music video for his debut single "My Name" today via Twist Magazine! Watch HERE! Fans can stream the original track on Apple Music and Spotify, or purchase the single here: https://goo.gl/kIotRi.

"The video takes place throughout NYC," Teddy told Twist Magazine, "I had some ideas for the story and had found someone to star in the video." Teddy's co-star, a personal friend, helps to play out the story of a coy, budding relationship. " We ended up shooting it all in one day," Teddy explained, "Neither of us had acted before, but we just had fun with it and played it out." Twist Magazine praised the video saying, "When you see it for yourself, we know you'll be hooked."

Influenced by industry innovators like Miguel, Maroon 5 and The Weeknd, Teddy Edwards has taken notes from today's greats to create a sound that is all his own. "I like to think that when people completely devote themselves to something and work hard they can achieve almost anything," explains Edwards. The 17-year old self-taught producer has grown up in an "accelerated lifestyle," pouring his emotions and life lessons directly into his music. "I want to be known as someone who doesn't just fit in, but uses their music to inspire people, someone who works harder than everyone else."

Born and raised in New York City, Teddy Edwards has been involved in music for as long as he can remember. Starting with piano lessons at age four, guitar at eight and songwriting at nine, Edwards has finally made his official entrance into the industry with "My Name." Teddy Edwards' new track has been a long time in the making, working with mentors like Phredley Brown (Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez) and George Pajon Jr (Black Eyed Peas), and gathering inspiration from personal experiences. Jumpstarting the production process by personally delivering his music to acclaimed engineer Andrew Wuepper, Teddy Edwards has always been focused on achieving his goals and staying true to who he is as an artist: persistent and determined.

While "My Name" marks Teddy Edward's first official release, the multi-instrumentalist is preparing for the release of his debut EP later this year. The project, written by Edwards who has production credits as well, will be filled with the singer's signature soul. Known for writing vulnerable, honest, and relatable tracks, Edwards incorporates raw emotion into every song - "My music reflects my reality. It's a way for people to see who I really am." Despite his young age, Teddy's music addresses themes and nuances far beyond the halls of high school. "People can relate to the messages in my songs: vulnerability, honesty, fear, guardedness, pressure, confidence, making mistakes and learning. It's a mix of fun times and dark times - the complexities, contrasts, and ups and downs of life."

"My Name" is the debut single from Teddy Edwards.
