Liberman Live contains live versions of her critically acclaimed 2015 studio release, Liberman. Earlier Things Live is a collection of live versions of Vanessa's earlier work and includes fan favorites such as the Grammy nominated "A Thousand Miles" and "White Houses." Additionally, there is a special duet with John McCauley of the Deer Tick Song "In Our Time."

These two live releases work together to make a whole, and give fans a clear vantage point from which to see the musical evolution of Vanessa Carlton from where she was as a teenager to where she is today as an adult.

Fans first were first given a taste of Carlton's musical evolution when the studio version of Liberman was released in 2015 via Dine Alone/Caroline. The ten songs on the album reflected on Vanessa's current state of mind since moving from NYC to Nashville, marrying husband John McCauley (Deer Tick) and having a baby girl.  The simple instrumentation mixed with her wistful vocals and poignant lyrics brought you into her world and showcased a new side to this accomplished songwriter.
