Headquartered out east in Baltimore, they're in the midst of writing and recording a new record. After a lineup change and limited range of touring in the last half of 2016, this group of young, strapping fellers are back in action, working harder than ever to fill up their 2017 calendar with high energy late night club dates. They are fully DIY, booking it all themselves, keeping it lean and mean with sustainability and longevity in mind. On tour through March with Charm City rockabilly legend Rodney "Pie-Man" Henry of the Glenmont Popes.

Western Star's Fireball is wildcat scream, guitar, and driving rhythms; it was tracked over just five days in Baltimore at Mobtown Studios, produced by Ken Bethea of the Old 97's and put out by Saustex Records. You can listen to it here, or check out their music video.

Western Star is part East Coast edge, part Texan, and a whole load of passionate guitar energy. Inspired by the Old 97's, The Pixies and Thin Lizzy, these boys have a sound that's a little country, a little punk and all rock’n’roll. They've forged a style that is both innovative and classic. In addition to touring up and down the East Coast and across the Southern U.S., they've worked for years as a band helping out with construction projects on the Jeffers' family ranch in Tyler, Texas, while living and rehearsing in a little white house on the ranch.
