February 8, 2017 – After a banner breakthrough year that culminated with her first ever GRAMMY nomination (Best Dance Recording – “Don’t Let Me Down” with The Chainsmokers), eighteen-year-old multi-platinum singer-songwriter DAYA is celebrating GRAMMY week and the upcoming launch of her first ever headline tour with the news that her debut album SIT STILL, LOOK PRETTY (via Artbeatz) has officially been certified gold by the RIAA.

Described by Daya as a continuation of her 2015 debut EP Daya, Sit Still, Look Pretty includes the entirety of her EP, with platinum hits like “Hide Away” and “Sit Still, Look Pretty,” and her current single “Words.” Fans and press alike have praised the debut, with early support from Entertainment Weekly, Harper’s Bazaar and the New York Times; People declared, “You won’t be able to sit still listening to this infectious set,” while Entertainment Weekly boasts that “Sit Still, Look Pretty” “will prove that [Daya] is more than a hit single.”

One week after the GRAMMY Awards, Daya will embark on her first ever headline tour, set to kick off in her home state of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia’s iconic Trocadero Theatre on February 18.  She will bring her dynamic live show to 25+ cities across the continent before it comes full circle to conclude March 30, in her hometown of Pittsburgh at Stage AE – the venue Daya frequented to see shows herself before playing her second-ever headlining show there in 2016. Tickets and information are available at http://www.theofficialdaya.com/.

Daya’s meteoric rise continues with her debut spot at #5 on Billboard’s “21 under 21” list and a selection by Apple Music as New Artist of the Week in October 2016. The New Artist of the Week program features up-and-coming artists, editorially selected by Apple Music; those accolades follow her inclusion on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know,” InStyle’s “6 Indie Artists You Should Be Listening to in 2016,” NYLON’s “21 Cool New Artists 21 and Under” as well as their October issue “It Girl” portfolio.  She most recently made her iHeartRadio Music Festival debut in Las Vegas and hit the Dancing with the Stars stage, where she dazzled the ballroom twice with performances of her hit single “Hide Away” and a special duet of “We Don’t Talk Anymore” with Charlie Puth.
