(New York, NY) – January 30, 2017 – After recently announcing several high-profile festival dates at Coachella, Sasquatch! and Panorama, rising pop songstress KIIARA announced that she will join artist/producer duo THE CHAINSMOKERS as a special guest on their ‘Memories: Do Not Open’ arena tour. The tour will reach 40 cities across North America before concluding with a two-night run at Queens’ Forest Hills Stadium. General on-sale begins Friday, February 3 via Ticketmaster. The latest news follows a breakout 2016 for Kiiara, which saw the multi-platinum success of debut single “Gold” as well as her very first headlining ‘low kii n savage af’ tour, which Fuse declared, “struck ‘Gold’” at Los Angeles’ Troubadour, writing Kiiara, “serenaded the room with lyrics that expose her edge through breathy notes that remain poised and almost unaware of their power. Her cool was unshaken even as she sang about heartbreak that feels undeniably real.”
ABOUT KIIARA: Kiiara closed out an incredible 2016 with a major North American headline tour, the ‘low kii n savage af’ tour, which kicked off at Los Angeles’ Troubadour before making sold-out stops in San Francisco, Portland, Washington D.C. and Brooklyn. Her debut single “Gold” most recently reached RIAA multiplatinum certification and boasts over 350 million streams worldwide, with the music video reaching almost 60 million views to date. Kiiara has received a storm of media attention in recent months, with Rolling Stone naming the Wilmington, IL-native among 2016’s “10 New Artists You Need To Know,” hailing her “minimalist, glitchy anti-pop with the perfect rhythm for any party” and noting that “‘Gold’ drips, drops and shines like nothing else this year.” “’Gold,’ a collaboration with producer Felix Snow, takes cues from icy R&B and from glitched-out, spacey dance music,” wrote Stereogum, “but it also has the wide-open heart of a classic pop song.” “Her songs pan out like anthems to unapologetic party kids everywhere,” declared V Magazine, while The Guardian named “Gold” as its “Pick of the Week,” writing, “(Kiiara’s) chopped and screwed vocals sit so perfectly in the track’s jerky electro that you almost forget they’re there.”
