BALTIMORE, MD | FEBRUARY 8, 2017:. Baltimore's Megosh is gearing up to head out on a U.S. tour with their labelmates Youth in Revolt (Outerloop Records). Ahead of hitting the road, Megosh is taking their fans deep into the meaning and inspiration behind their debut full-length Apostasy, which was released December 2016 with Outerloop Records. Today, Megosh is unveiling the first part of a 14-part video series that delves into the inspiration behind each track on the album, releasing a video each week until the album's completion. View the first video discussing "Checkerboards and Cigarettes" here. Introducing the video series, vocalist Josh Grosscup states: "Music is subjective, sure, but why not sit down with us and learn a little bit about the thoughts and inspirations behind each song on our latest album Apostasy!"

With a set of high-energy intelligent songs, Megosh has notably exploded on to the scene. Their music is melodic with post-progressive elements and frequent forays into the territory of alternative metal, but with an undeniable pop sensibility. Megosh somehow fuses these eclectic ingredients into a surprisingly cohesive stew - a sound that is clearly their own. Impressive and complex instrumental material will certainly appeal to the musician but, with Megosh, song craft still reigns and their creative use of rhythm and catchy melodies are certain to captivate a wide audience. On top of all this, the front line serves up tasty three-part harmonies, something rarely heard on today's rock scene.
