March 21, 2017 – Los Angeles, CA - Influential Gameface frontman turned singer-songwriter, Jeff Caudill, has announced plans to release a new EP titled Reset The Sun on April 22nd via Fortunate Son Records. The EP will be available digitally on April 21st and on limited vinyl record on April 22nd as an official release for Record Store Day 2017 at participating indie retailers.

Today, Caudill has debuted a lyric video for the record’s first new track called “Tears In My Ears,” which can be viewed now at https://youtu.be/ALe7y_4BP8A.

"How do you get tears in your ears? From crying on your back. Get the hell out of bed." - Jeff Caudill

The rousing new song “Tears In My Ears” pays homage to the forefathers of alternative country with Caudill’s signature country-tinged rock sound.

"I wanted this song to feel like I felt listening to the Eagles in the backseat of my mom's car in 1978 - and not wearing a seatbelt,” Caudill says. “It's the road theme in the story, it's also where the train beat meets psych-rock."

The new song is just a taste of what’s to come from Reset The Sun. The EP features six songs, incorporating elements of alt-country, pop and rock, that carry listeners on an epic emotional rollercoaster with heartfelt ballads and stirring sing-alongs.

Reset The Sun follows Caudill’s recent release of a 7” vinyl record that he created in tribute to the late, great Sense Field frontman Jon Bunch who passed away in early 2016. The record features two tracks, a cover of Sense Field’s “Voice” and Black Sabbath’s “Wishing Well,” on limited edition, colored 7” vinyl. Fans can purchase it now at https://revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&BandId=4829.

SoCal’s Gameface was an important part of the late 90’s Revelation Records scene alongside bands like Judge and Texas Is The Reason, and went on to influence many bands over the last few decades. The band went on indefinite hiatus in the mid-2000’s and briefly reunited in 2014 to perform a handful of shows and release their 6th studio album, Now Is What Matters Now.

For the last decade, revered Gameface frontman Jeff Caudill has stepped out of his scene to become in his own right a prolific Americana singer-songwriter. His music, inspired by bluesy-rock, indie rock and country, showcases his incredible gift of riveting songwriting and captivating vocals, as heard on the two new songs.
