"Reaching" is the lead single from MIEARS' recently released debut EP, Who Will Save You?-- an emotionally driven musical narrative that explores the compulsive and cyclical nature of relationships. Since its release on February 17th, Who Will Save You? has received a number of enthusiastic reviews. Free Press Houston described that "the  six songs have more weight than what most releases in the genre have combined", while Bearded Gentlemen Music wrote, "Standout cuts like 'Directional,' 'He Never Loved Me,' and 'Reaching' glimmer and shimmer with an intensity found in '80s synth-pop ballads, as Logic Pro X pads like Alchemy, Sculpture, and ES2 provide a rich warmth to her excellent grasp of melodic movement". Who Will Save You? is available for purchase now, HERE.

In support of the record, MIEARS is set to play a series of Texas shows this month. On March 12th, she will be supporting CindyWilson of The B-52's at Walter's Downtown in Houston, and on March 18th, she will be heading to SXSW, where she will play at Icenhauer's at 2pm and at Shiner's Saloon for the Future of Music Showcase at 4pm. On top of this, MIEARS was recently added to the Free Press Summer Fest lineup. A full list of dates can be found at www.facebook.com/miearsmusic.

MIEARS is the solo project of Michelle Miears, frontwoman of Houston-based electronica trio, BLSHS. With a voice comparable to those of Lauren Mayberry and Georgia Nott, Miears enjoyed multiple festival appearances with the band, countless words of praise in the media and a grueling schedule of tour dates and sets at festivals like CMJ Music Marathon and SXSW. However, after work stalled on the follow up to BLSHS' debut album, Michelle began a journey that would start with a question and end with a whole new solo project.

That project, known simply as MIEARS, found the singer writing, producing, performing and recording the solo effort, only allowing famed engineer John Griffin (Matt The Electrician, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Southern Backtones) to mix the project.

The result, Who Will Save You?, is composed of six melancholic electropop songs, complete with ethereal melodies and synthesizers.  With the EP now complete and unleashed to the world, MIEARS is embracing the next chapter of her life, performing as a solo artist for the very first time.
