LA-based singer-songwriter Diego Davidenko embarks on a US national tour in support of his second solo album, In An Empty House out June 2.

Davidenko’s unvarnished style conjures up the tender, heartfelt and soul-bearing forms of early Badly Drawn Boy, Elliott Smith and Bright Eyes and sometimes you’ll hear a little freak-folk a la Richard Dawson.

A talented guitarist, his deft finger picking style recalls Bert Jansch, Nick Drake and Paul Simon. If any of those names tickle your fancy, you’ll find something to like on In An Empty House.

ABOUT DIEGO DAVIDENKO: Born in Argentina, indie-folk singer-songwriter Diego Davidenko moved to New York at age nine. The transition to America, along with his subsequent moves around the country - from New York to Iowa to Texas to California - helped form the unique insight that he fashions into highly personal songs. His songs are aesthetically influenced by artists such as Bright Eyes, Elliott Smith and Belle and Sebastian, but have distinctive melodic and lyrical twists all their own.

Diego releases his sophomore album, In an Empty House, on June 2, 2017. Recorded over a warm fall weekend in a quiet, empty house in the canyons north of Los Angeles, the introspective and bare songs delve into themes of loss and impermanence, seeking to find warmth and comfort in them.

Raw, honest and thought-provoking, Diego’s earnest and heartfelt songs weave through the range of human emotions and experiences: nostalgia, love, loneliness, hope, remorse, frustration, and a yearning for meaning and human connection. With catchy and unexpected melodies, they invite audiences into the palpably intimate heart of an artist who writes and sings to make sense of and find his place in the world.

Diego has toured the United States and performs regularly at venues across Los Angeles’s underground music scene and listening rooms. He has played venues as far flung as Mexico City and his birth country of Argentina. His music has been featured in independent films including The Strongest Drug and Cures Anything. His debut album, It Isn’t Home, was well received by press and audiences and received airplay at national and international radio including KCSN (Los Angeles), KCSC (Chico, CA) and Radio Estación Sur (La Plata, Argentina).
