Monday March 06, 2017 – Los Angeles, CA – Staying rather quiet in recent times since touring in support of 2014’s Life in Lucidity, rock sextet THE KINDRED are back with the new single “Stray Away” off the band’s upcoming release due out later this year via Sumerian Records. The single—found HERE—features newcomers Johnny McArthur on vocals and Kenny Saunders on drums, both of whom were found in the band’s hometown of Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

McArthur gives some insight into the track: “This song is about realizing who you are and who you aren’t in the eyes of the people you know and love, and the people you don’t - it’s about taking the coward’s way out and disguising it as bravery. Put a tuxedo on a gorilla and watch it tear apart at the seams while he smiles in confidence anyways.”

“Stray Away” is currently available for purchase on iTunes / Google Play / Amazon. Direct links HERE

THE KINDRED is:

• Johnny McArthur – Vocals
• Eric Stone – Bass
• Steve Rennie – Guitar
• Ben John Davis –  Guitars
• Matt Young – Keyboards/Backing Vocals
• Kenny Saunders – Drums
