1. Tell us a little about your latest release.  What might a fan or listener not grab the first or second time they listen through?  Are there any hidden nuggets the band put in the material or that only diehard fans might find?

Hmmm very interesting question. I never thought of that haha. Well I def think that when ppl play it more, they will hear more instrument layers. We added so many instruments to different parts in certain songs or parts and it is kinda hard to just spot them all in the first few times. But it gives more fun to just enjoy the texture as a whole I guess.

2. What got you into music, and can you tell us about the moment you realized you wanted to be a musician?

I think I started to listen to heavy metal in middle school, like first degree. Slipknot was my first love and still is haha. I just enjoy the idea that you can express your emotion in such free way and that’s what made me always want to become a musician. I wanted to be a professional musician in college but not till now did I achieve it finally.

3. Who would be your main five musical influences?

I don’t really have specific names but I can say that, mostly are Mongolian folk music bands, heavy metal bands like Slipknot, film soundtrack composers like Hans Zimmer, and some electronic artists.

4. If you could call in any one collaborator to do a song with, who would it be?

Ha, I would say, hmmmmm, maybe Rammstein or Avril Lavigne? I don’t know why lol

5. How would you describe your music to someone who’d never listened to you before?

I would just say nomadic folk music meets heavy metal. Or tribal music, like Native American music meets metal or something like that to make it easier to understand haha.

6. What’s the best thing about being a musician?

You got to let out your inner sides, especially in some very dark moments you can use those moments to make some songs rather than thinking about killing yourself.

7. When the band are all hanging out together, who cooks; who gets the drinks in; and who is first to crack out the acoustic guitars for a singalong?

No one lol. We just lazy asses and order pizza and crack dirty jokes lol.

8. If you weren’t a musician, what would be your dream job?

Horse trainer.

9. Looking back over your career, is there a single moment or situation you feel was a misstep or you would like to have a “do over”?

I don’t think so. Every step has its own meaning I think.

10. If you could magically go back in time and be a part of the recording sessions for any one record in history, which would you choose – and what does that record mean to you?

I might want to add some throat singing to Beattle’s album haha.
