According to a recent press release: "Russian metalcore quintet Forget My Silence will be releasing their long-awaited debut full-length Fall To Rise on May 5th, but they've teamed up with Revolver Magazine to premiere a music video for the single "I See Hell in Your Eyes." The video's femme fatale theme was inspired by The Three Musketeers." We get bassist Petr Starkov from the band to answer our 10 Quick Ones about the upcoming release and more...

1. Tell us a little about your latest release. What might a fan or listener not grab the first or second time they listen through? Are there any hidden nuggets the band put in the material or that only diehard fans might find?

I guess there are no hidden revelations in this track / we try to make our music for everyone. Although there is a great emotional layer in lyrics. I’am a huge fan of Roma’s lyrics, you know. So every time when you need this dark atmosphere - you’ll get something new.

2. What got you into music, and can you tell us about the moment you realized you wanted to be a musician?

Great music got me into music :) when i first started to listen different metal i thought “Damn, they’re good”, and then i realized, that the only thing that separates me from music - is my will. if i want it - i must just do it.

3. Who would be your main five musical influences?

That is simple: In flames, Korn, Russian band called “Jane Air”, Born of Osiris and Lindsey Stirling (yes, i love violin)

4. If you could call in any one collaborator to do a song with, who would it be?

Corey Taylor

5. How would you describe your music to someone who’d never listened to you before?

Strong & solid. If you looking for sincere emotions in extreme arrangement - welcome aboard!

6. What’s the best thing about being a musician?

Opportunity to perform our songs, and receive all this energy from the audience. To realize is it really good song we’ve done - we must see how people reacting on it’ live performance.

7. When the band are all hanging out together, who cooks; who gets the drinks in; and who is first to crack out the acoustic guitars for a singalong?

Actually nobody cooks. That’s a great idea - we definitely need a chef in the crew! If we talking about common hang out evening after some hard work  - it comes like this - Elia is playing guitar, Roma eats, i just lay somewhere in quiet, and Benny is talking about how hard is our life.

8. If you weren’t a musician, what would be your dream job?

Engineer! It's great to do complicated mechanisms and repair them.

9. Looking back over your career, is there a single moment or situation you feel was a misstep or you would like to have a “do over”?

You know, only thing that i would change in my way as a musician is age in which i have started to play guitar. i wish someone to convince me to start a five-six years earlier.

10. If you could magically go back in time and be a part of the recording sessions for any one record in history, which would you choose – and what does that record mean to you?

I don't know about recording sessions, but i can definitely tell in what gig i would choose to be part of. Its vast live show of Metallica in Moscow in 1991. If you sow video from this show - you don't need further explanations. It filled with rebel spirit, savage energy of real metal music, audience was crazy, and they gave this fuze to musicians on the stage. This show is magnificent! You can see "Creeping Death" from it. It’s amazing!
