Cleveland-based indie pop songwriter Jesea Lee has released a second single from is forthcoming debut EP Sleepspent. The song, "A Good Place To Stay" is a wistful, summer track brimming with synth and a story about taking the time to appreciate where you are in life.

"This song started out on acoustic (as most of my music does) and I initially thought it was going to have more of a folk vibe to it," says Lee. "Then that beautiful production wizard Joel Grant got his hands on it and really gave it some pizzazz. When that first synth line comes in, it's almost reminiscent of Motion City Soundtrack (one of my all time favorite bands). The lyrics are simply about taking the time to enjoy your current situation, whatever that may be. Sometimes you get so eager to move on to the next step or phase in your life that you forget to enjoy the ride and live in the moment."

Lee was the guitarist for the now defunct punk band One Days Notice and began working on solo material once the group called it quits in the summer of 2016. Sleepspent was produced by Joel Grant at Great White Bear Productions and mastered by Lance Waste at Heart Riot Agency. The lyrics were co-written with Kyle Evanchuck. It will be released on July 14th and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
