NEW YORK, NY - Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bayside and Jimmy Eat World, My Life On Film are making a name for themselves with their bold new tunes. The alternative rock band has played countless shows since releasing their EP 1 in 2015, and the group is continually stepping things up for 2017. The quartet has a lot in the works, but they're starting with rad visuals for their jam "Need To Know." With an opening guitar riff that would make their musical predecessors proud and dueling vocals bound to grab listeners' attention, "Need To Know" is an excellent look at what this band has to offer.

When asked about the video, My Life On Film’s Sean Johnson shares, "The video is something I've always wanted to do. I came up with the idea one day when I was changing light bulbs in the Church that I work for. I looked down at the compass rose in the floor and though "That would be an awesome place to do a raw, rocky video.  When we wrote the EP, we wanted to have a song that showed a little more maturity with our song writing as well as sound, as opposed to our previous releases, and "Need To Know" has really set the tone for the sound of our future."

About My Life On Film: New Jersey has turned out a fair amount of angst-driven alt-rock over the past few decades.  So needless to say it can become a stagnant pool of the same bands playing the same song and creating their own self-fulfilling prophecy of never leaving their hometown.  However there is always one band that tends to bust thru the wall and reignite our love for VFW halls on Friday nights.  Enter My Life On Film.  The Jersey Shore 4 piece uses your own nostalgia against you, conjuring the sounds and energy of the late 90’s and early millennia pop punk scene to hook you in and remind you why you started going to shows in the first place.  My Life On Film is making their name known in a state saturated in talent and rising far above their competition.
