(New York, NY) - In advance of the release of their forthcoming album, WAR FOR AN IDEA, NYC metallers IKILLYA have just revealed a new lyric video, "Every Man for Himself," via Metal Insider today.  Of the haunting song, frontman Jason Lekberg explained, "Every Man For Himself was written in response to a song from an artist I respect. His admission of god as a guiding force in his life made me sad that he felt he needed that support, or at least needed to share that commonality with others.  Musically this is a very different song for us but writing it inspired further exploration on the album.  We doubled all of the guitars with a glisstentar which helps give it that creepy vibe and ended up doing that many other times on the album."  The cover art for "Every Man For Himself" can be accessed here.

WAR FOR AN IDEA is due out next week on June 2nd via Urban Yeti.  Click here for album art.  WAR FOR AN IDEA is available for pre-order here (physical) and digitally here.  WAR FOR AN IDEA is receiving early rave reviews from the press with Decibel giving it 8 out of 10 and declaring "The New York-based thrash/groove metal quartet more than live up to their rep for relentless aggression on WAR FOR AN IDEA, but never at the expense of finesse.  IKILLYA approach the weird bits that ultimately make their third album more than a mere collection of killer songs with just as much restraint and consideration..."  The band hit the road next week on a nationwide trek in support of the album.  Please see below for tour dates, including the annual charity event in honor of Dimebag Darrell, Ride For Dime, on September 2nd at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ.

Of IKILLYA's music, Metal Hammer declared IKILLYA, "As startling and destructive as a beer bottle to the back of the skull", while Artist Direct avowed that the band are "New York's finest purveyors of true metal".  IKILLYA has toured with such heavy music legends as Danzig, Biohazard, Fear Factory and more.  The band is part of hip hop artist Yelawolf's Slumerican family and is the only metal group with that distinction.  IKILLYA is Jason Lekberg (vocals), Eric Jackson (guitars), Rob Broderick (bass) and Andrew Maciejewski (drums).
