NEW YORK, NY - Known for their innovation and ridiculously catchy songs, Long Island’s rambunctious quintet Patent Pending have something new to share with their loyal Second Family. Having just released a new cover album with revamped versions of songs sure to get fans dancing, the Pendings are thrilled to unleash their crazy new music video.

Taken from the band's latest album, 'Other People's Greatest Hits,' comes the new video single ‘Wasted / Wake Me Up’, a mash-up of Tiesto's "Wasted" and Avicii's "Wake Me Up.” Front man Joe Ragosta says, "It's very common and very easy for people to overlook EDM music. We wanted to make these two songs rock so people who would much prefer rock to EDM could hear these tremendous melodies and catchy sing along parts it in a more familiar way." The video for "Wasted / Wake Me Up" is a blast to watch with paint-splatter, guitar-breaking, and back-and-forth boomerang-style clips throughout. Watch it here!

Patent Pending's latest offering is Other People's Greatest Hits, out now on Rude Records. Full of classic jams and recent chart-toppers, the ten-track album flawlessly showcases the group’s penchant for all things punk and their genuine love of creativity. With their takes on Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca", Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You", and more, The Moshville Times says "they're pretty much all the way out of the comfort zone and yet they still sound like Patent Pending", while Thinking Lyrically praises the band's "talent for turning any song into an anthem."  The Pendings are thrilled to bring these covers and their rambunctious originals on the road next month where they'll be touring alongside Simple Plan and long time friends Set It Off. About Patent Pending: Patent Pending is an acrobatic gang of musical misfits from Long Island, New York. With a never-say-die attitude and enough live energy to power Times Square, the group is set on giving listeners a reason to forget about the chaos of everyday life. With shows growing in size from basements to amphitheaters, and from VFW Halls to sold out headlining shows in the United Kingdom, they've never let go of the genuine DIY code of ethics the band was founded on over a decade ago. The live show, which has been described as "psychotically fun and dramatically moving," is an inspiring testament to the passion the band pours into every aspect of their lives. With the support of their incredibly loyal fanbase, better known as The Second Family, Patent Pending has released an impressive number of albums and EPs, including the most recent Riot Hearts Rebellion in 2015. Pulling from all corners of the musical spectrum, the band is set on spicing things up with a cover album to be released on May 26, 2017 through Rude Records. Aptly titled ‘Other People’s Greatest Hits’, the release is a fearless and genre-bending take on arena ready anthems like “Spice Up Your Life” and “Livin’ La Vida Loca.”

Hard work and dedication have yielded some incredible results for Patent Pending. They've enjoyed the success of three music videos reaching the coveted #1 spot on MTV.com, with state side rotation on MTV, MTV2, MTVu, Fuse on Demand and Scuzz TV in the United Kingdom. In 2012, The Pending’s warrior-like determination won them the Billboard Music Awards "Dream Seeker Of The Year" trophy and afforded them the honor of delivering a ground-shaking performance of their song "Dance Til We Die" in front of a national television audience of over 8 million home viewers. Later that year, opportunity came knocking again in a big way when pop-rock legends Bowling For Soup gave the band an opening spot on their massive UK Tour. That first trip to Europe proved to be a life changer for the New York natives. The band has since returned for multiple headlining tours and performances at the historic Download Festival with the likes of Slipknot and Iron Maiden.

Equipped with an ever-expanding tour schedule including their current headliner in the United Kingdom and a tour supporting Simple Plan set for the fall, this looks to be another landmark year for these Long Island misfits. Patent Pending shows no signs of slowing down and even less of forgetting where they came from. Frontman Joe Ragosta can best explain - "The music makes us a band, the connection with the people who listen to that music makes us a family, and family is stronger than anything."
