The Downtown Fiction is thrilled to release their new single "Some Place On Earth" today on iTunes.

"This is a song for the losers and kings and everyone in between. It's mankind's struggle, what we all go through, regardless of our place in the world," explains lead singer Cameron Leahy. "It's about empathy, celebrating all the things we have in common as people, instead of our differences."

The Fairfax, VA foursome has been playing the new song live on their current U.S. fall tour with Tonight Alive, For The Foxes, and echosmith. Full tour routing below. The song will be featured on the band's forthcoming new album, slated for release in early 2014.

THE DOWNTOWN FICTION - Composed of Cameron Leahy (Lead Vocals), Wes Dimond (Guitar), David Pavluk (Bass), and Kyle Rodgers (Drums), the Fairfax, VA's power-pop foursome have been building a loyal fan base since their formation in 2008 with their irresistible blend of ultra-catchy tunes with a lyrical attitude. The release of their debut full-length album Let's be Animals (2011) featured the band's most successful single to date, "I Just Wanna Run". The song went on to sell over 350,000 singles and received placements throughout MTV's Jersey Shore, The Hard Times of RJ Berger, The Challenge: Fresh Meat II, The Hills, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and the track is also featured on Rock Band 3. Making it a point to take their infectious brand of pop-rock global, The Downtown Fiction's impressive resume includes runs with The Summer Set, All Time Low, Yellowcard, Mayday Parade, The Ready Set, We The Kings, including slots on the Bamboozle Festival, Vans Warped Tour, and overseas dates in Manila and Japan.
