Today, guitar legend MARTY FRIEDMAN unveils the music video for "Hyper Doom," an instrumental track from his acclaimed new album "Inferno." The clip -- which features high-energy live footage shot during FRIEDMAN's recent European tour with Gus G. -- can be seen below.

Later tonight, FRIEDMAN -- who was profiled in a National Public Radio (NPR) "Weekend Edition" feature on Saturday -- will participate in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" chat. If you have questions about his "Inferno" collaborations with the likes of Jason Becker and Alexi Laiho, his experiences living in Tokyo over the last decade, his unorthodox technique, his memories of recording "Rust In Peace" or whatever else comes to mind, join the chat starting at 8 p.m. EST at this location: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/

Recorded primarily in Los Angeles with Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Children of Bodom) and mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth), "Inferno" -- which FRIEDMAN believes showcases his most intense and aggressive playing to date -- also features notable guest appearances by Rodrigo y Gabriela, Revocation guitar whiz David Davidson, acclaimed rocker Danko Jones, Shining mad scientist Jørgen Munkeby and Skyharbor guitarist Keshav Dhar. The album is currently on sale nationwide at Best Buy.
