San Francisco troubadour, Andrew St. James premiered the “Stageline” video at Entertainment Weekly this week and shared his Daytrotter session, featuring tracks from his second full-length LP,The Shakes (Island Jar/Fortune).

Directed by Ian Wallace and Julian Matulich, the “Stageline” video pays homage to his bay area roots, with sweeping shots of the city and follows the the 19 year old galavanting along misty hillsides, back roads and parks, in the arms of a beautiful girl and Entertainment Weekly called the track, “a Dylan-esque sort of lilt, an open love letter to a ‘young and holy, dressed in black’ about putting fear — of facing the world, or of failure, or of the future — back in check.”

Praised by American Songwriter, USA Today and The Wild Honey Pie for his vulnerable lyricism and vintage flair, Andrew St. James’ Daytrotter session showcases soulful vocals and wisdom beyond his years. Recorded at Paradiso Studio in San Francisco, the five song set includes cuts from The Shakes, such as “Nightmares Pt. 17” and “Tapes” and has Paste claiming, “these songs feel like a wild, spin through years and years, when joy and pain are so loosely defined that we just let them continue to poke us with as much frequency as they want, just to try them on and see how they feel, to determine which is which. St. James sure feels like a future force to be reckoned with.”
