From the opening moments of the record, we're hit with a sightly offbeat guitar riff that eases into "My Girl Forever," a dappled track that sets the tone for the rest of the record. From the eclectic Millie Small sample in "Nobody Else," to the incredibly infectious chorus of "Crying In The Sunshine" and the low-key vibes of title track, "I Dreamt I Was A Cowboy", the record is a staggering achievement for the group, who had been working on the songs since their 2014 release, "Cruel Runnings."

In an interview with Impose Magazine, band frontman, Charlie Brand reflects on how the songs on the new record came about: “I was very thankful to have so many of my friends contribute to this album. When I listen back to the record, it’s these moments that bring the whole thing to life".

Once described as "like the Beach Boys if they were raised on Atari," "I Dreamt I Was A Cowboy" is Miniature Tiger's fifth studio album and perhaps the perfect sonic embodiment of that description.
