Disturbed's critically acclaimed Immortalized has boasted three huge #1 hit singles since its release last August, with "The Sound of Silence" dominating in the #1 spot at Rock Radio for four weeks running now. Immediately upon the video's release back in December, track sales took off and have continued to soar week over week - the single has now sold over 320K copies, making it#1 on the iTunes Rock Chart and #27 on the iTunes overall songs chart, and rapidly rising on the Billboard Hot 100. The video has earned over 27M views and been in the Top 5 iTunes video chart for the past two months, while the song is beginning to earn non-Rock Radio airplay as well, just this week breaking into the Top 40 at Alternative radio.
Disturbed are in the midst of a sold out North American headline tour, earning high praise throughout with the Examiner saying "No other band delivers the winning combination of heaviness, melody, love, hate and overall raging intensity like Disturbed." Disturbed will be on the road for the remainder of 2016, including co-headline runs with Rob Zombie and Breaking Benjamin, as well as headlining slots at major festivals across the U.S., U.K., and Europe. See below and at: http://www.disturbed1.com/shows for tickets and details on all shows.
Formed in Chicago in 1996, the multi-platinum Disturbed - David Draiman [vocals], Dan Donegan [guitar], Mike Wengren [drums], and John Moyer [bass] - have sold over 15 million albums globally and scored twelve No. 1 singles at Rock Radio. Their quadruple-platinum 2000 debut The Sickness formally announced their arrival as hard rock leaders, with that status solidified by their subsequent Grammy Award nomination as well as gold-, platinum- and double platinum-certified records. Immortalized marked the end of the group's 4-year hiatus and became their fifth consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, a rare feat achieve by only one other hard rock band in the history of the chart: Metallica.
