According to a recent press release: "Moscow, Russia based Alternative Rock band REMARK has released their debut, self-titled LP featuring the lead single "Falling". Released in January 2016, REMARK was produced by Andrew Konoplev. "Our first album was about finding our sound, style, manner of execution, and ultimately how REMARK should sound and look on stage" - REMARK" We get the Den from the band to answer our 10 Quick Ones about the bands most recent new material and more...

1. Tell us a little about your latest release.  What might a fan or listener not grab the first or second time they listen through?  Are there any hidden nuggets the band put in the material or that only diehard fans might find?

There are a couple of surprises on our new EP, but in general I would name it the logical continuation and growth of idea what we have on the first album. We worked again with our friend, coolest sound producer and sound engineer we've ever had Andrew Weed. Naturally, we took our mistakes into consideration, and the experience gained over this time, helped us to make a high-quality release. We tried to make the most honest sound with a minimum of production and only live instruments, I hope our fans and new listeners will appreciate it!

2. What got you into music, and can you tell us about the moment you realized you wanted to be a musician?

Since my childhood I have been studying music, initially I simply went to music school, after when I was about 15 I decided to play guitar. A little earlier I clearly understood that I want to play in a band. And later, already at the university, we have founded a band, which later converted to the REMARK.

3. Who would be your main five musical influences?

It's a difficult question! I've listened to so many music that it's hard to remember exactly which albums inspired me at the beginning of my musical way. First things that comes to my mind are: Queen, Alter Bridge, Green Day, Sum 41 and Guns'n'Roses.

4. If you could call in any one collaborator to do a song with, who would it be?

If we talk about active touring musicians, I think it would be Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge. If about the legends, who has passed away, it would be Freddie Mercury.

5. How would you describe your music to someone who’d never listened to you before?

Hmmm, I think as a symbiosis of the musical ideas of the band members, which eventually sound like a melodic and powerful rock.

6. What’s the best thing about being a musician?

Just make music and know your own formula, how it should sound in your own way!

7. When the band are all hanging out together, who cooks; who gets the drinks in; and who is first to crack out the acoustic guitars for a singalong?

Usually when we get together, the food has already cooked. And our vocalist begins to sing first, he also plays along to himself. I try to relax from the guitar and let Yanas play, but sometimes I can not resist.

8. If you weren’t a musician, what would be your dream job?

No way back! Only music completely occupies my heart, and there is no more place for anything else. So I can not imagine what else I could do.

9. Looking back over your career, is there a single moment or situation you feel was a misstep or you would like to have a “do over”?

We had moments of trial and error, we learn to take benefit from them and study, that's why we treat them calm. Do not get upset and down every time, this should be an incentive to learn and do better.

10. If you could magically go back in time and be a part of the recording sessions for any one record in history, which would you choose – and what does that record mean to you?

I think it would be a record of some kind of classic rock album of the 70s or 80s. When there was still a pile of digital equipment and everything was written on tape. I would like to see the work of professionals, and their approach to rehearsals and sessions, and of course feel the spirit of this rock'n'roll!
